Through The Pain God Has A Purpose

Through The Pain God Has A Plan

Sometimes in life things don’t turn out the way we expect, and we experience heartache and disappointment, but we must remember that God has a perfect plan for our lives.
When Jesus was nearing the end of His earthly ministry he faced great anguish while in the Garden of Gethsemane but Jesus understood and accepted the perfect plan for His life as prescribed by God.  The Gospel of Mark records these words as we hear Jesus crying out to his Father because what he was about to face seemed unbearable at the time.

Still Breathing.... Still Have Time

If you are breathing you still have time!

As I began to refresh myself with the account of Jesus’ work on the Cross at Calvary during this resurrection season, I am reminded thatwe all have timeto accept Him and become a “new creation” as long as we still have breath in our bodies .

When Jesus was on the Cross, He was hanging between two criminals. One of the criminals hurled insults at him, namely “Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!” but the other criminal rebuked his fellow criminal saying, “Don’t you fear God, we are being punished justly, but He has done nothing wrong,” then he said to Jesus “remember me when you come into your kingdom.

Everyday Love

The world talks a lot about
loveon Feb.14th, however, reallove, God's kind oflove, Agapeloveis alovethat is an everydaylovebecause God islove;and he that abides inloveabides in God, and God in him. Thisloveis true, real, pure, uncompromising, everlasting. If you want that kind oflovethen accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior.  Give your all to Him and do as it says inMark 12:30-31,namely, "Lovethe Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength". Also, loveyour neighbor as yourself.

A Reason to Celebrate

When I was a child I waited with great expectation and anticipation for the Christmas season to arrive because I was confident in knowing that there would be many gifts coming my way. What I did not understand then was that the only true and perfect gift had already been given to me personally and to others thousands of years earlier when Jesus came to Earth through Mary.

Christianity teaches that God loves us so much that He gave His "only begotten son" to us as the perfect gift. The Gift of Jesus was a perfect gift because Jesus Christ alone is capable of providing both salvation and sanctification.

It amazes me to hear so many Christian women refer to themselves as Divas. Have you ever asked yourself what is the definition of a Diva? I found two definitions, continue reading and I’ll elaborate.

  • §  Diva – (a) is a female deity the basic sense of the term is goddess. (b) in Italian the term is used to celebrate an extremely talented opera singer.

Looking at the first definition  (a) it states goddess, a goddess is a female god or deity a worshiped being, the word of God tells us to have no other gods before Him.

Raising The Victory Banner

Now is the time of year when the discussion intensifies over which NBA Team will be crowned champion and ultimately raising the Victory Banner for their fans. Will it be the Heat or the Spurs, or even the Pacers?  The respective Teams have fought through a long hard season to have  a chance in the end to raise the Victory Banner. It makes me wonder how many will have an opportunity  to raise the Victory Banner in their personal life after their "Season" on earth  is ended?

The Real Deal About Resurrection

The entire Christian faith is based upon the belief in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Without the Resurrection there is not Christianity because Jesus would be considered as just another prophet in a long line of prophets who came, taught, encouraged, performed miracles, and then died.

Without the Resurrection, The New Testament Church would not have as its bedrock Jesus Christ serving as both Lord and Savior. Lord because all Power and Authority has been given to Jesus in Heaven and in earth (Matt.

What is Faith- 1

 Hebrews 11:1

Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 NKJ Bible

What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen, It  is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.
 -Hebrews 11:1- Living Bible

Now Faith, is the assurance (confirmation, the title deed) of things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses

Ahh... It's Summer

Summer is the time of year when many of us take vacations and/or simply find  the time to rest and relax. We flock to the beaches and pools and go fishing and picnicking seeking much needed relief from the everyday stresses of life. Summer days have been called lazy days because they are often the days that most of us take a break from doing stuff and instead just chill out for a minute.
One of the advantages that Christians have through their relationships with Jesus Christ is the experience of "summer" all year because Jesus invites us to cast our burdens upon him and rest in Him.

All is Well by Faith

Greetings Friends:
Our declaration this year at Reborn to Live is "All Is Well In 2012".

We say this with confidence because we are living by faith and not by sight. The Apostle Paul put it this way in Romans 1:17, "The righteous will live by faith". Although we know that trials and tribulations will come this year, our comfort is in knowing that our god  is able to deliver us from every trial that we face, and whatever things he allows to happen to his people is for their good.

Where Are All My Football Fans ?

Were Are All My Football Fans ?

For football fans across the country, this is the best time of year because every team has the same record and arguably the same opportunity for success during the upcoming season, regardless of each teams' prior failures and/or accomplishments the previous year.

This is similar to the Christian Experience when one accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, some refer to this as salvation. After a person is saved, all his/her prior wrongs, mistakes, etc are erased or washed away in the eyes of God because of Jesus' blood sacrifice on the Cross.

Surviving The Storm

Now that "Irene" has passed we can look back and not only assess the physical damage, but also admire and recognize the hand of God.  As many of you know, "Irene"  was  originally predicted to be a CAT -3  Hurricane, however, by the time it reached the shores of Hampton Roads, it was only a CAT-1.  I want you to know  that man had nothing to do with taking the sting out- of -the  storm, because man cannot and does not control the winds and the waves.

A Fresh Perspective

Today I sat in a chair in my home that I rarely sit in.  My husband sits there on Saturday mornings and reads the paper while enjoying fresh coffee. When my mom visits, she sits there and takes a nap. The few times that I've sat here, I never really took the time to enjoy the view.
As I sat in this chair quietly (no television, radio, or phone) no distractions. I started to look around my home, and from my new vantage point everything took on a new perspective.

Jesus Gave His All For Us

Dear friends, as we move into the Resurrection season, let us focus our attention on the Love of Christ and what true love looks like.  In order to better understand the love of Christ, take a look at Philippians 2:7 and its sequence.
In his letter to the Philippians, Paul describes how deeply and richly Jesus loves us when he writes in Phil 2:7"But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men".  When Paul says Jesus "made .

Don't Worry !

Do not worry about your life  what you will eat; or about your body what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.  Luke 12:22,23
As the economy is sliding down hill, the price of gas, food, clothes etc... the cost of living is going up !    BUT the Word of God tells us as Christians not to worry about our lives because our lives consist of more than food and the body more than clothes.    I know it is hard not to worry when  we hear of these things but God knows our needs and is fully able to meet our needs.

A Love like no other

As we go about displaying acts of love towards those who are dear to us during
Valentine's season, lets spend some time reflecting on the Love of Christ and how his love for us is so awesome that we struggle to find words adequate to describe his love for us.  For example, In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul prayed in ch.3:17-19, "that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints, what is the breath, length, and depth, and height, and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Pure Love

Pure Love - God's Love
" A new command I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you.  that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."  John 13:34-35
How do we love one another ?
What Is Love ?  What love is NOT ! ..... According to the word of God ...
It speaks for itself   - I Corinthians 13:4-8 amp.
Love endures long and is patient and kind;

Show me Your Way

There are times on our journey to fulfilling our destiny, when we are unsure of what to do next, where to go, what choices to make, and confusion sets in . We receive advice from family and friends on how we should live and what choices to make.  Everybody has an opinion of what we should do.  However, in moments like these, as Christians we should only depend on the Lord to lead us in the right direction.  David's prayer was that the Lord would show him his ways and the way he should go in every situation.

-2011 "Keep It Simple "

Lets Keep it Simple this year, No Resolutions .....Just pursue a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
The word of God states in Matthew 6:33- "But seek (aim and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given to you besides."
If we pursue a closer relationship with Jesus Christ by aiming for His kingdom, His way of doing things and being righteous, focusing on what we need to change in our personal lives, and what we can accomplish through Jesus Christ, our earthly desires will begin to align with God's will for our lives.

Merry Christmas to all and for all a SAVIOR was born in a place called Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago. This Christmas is a merry Christmas because the "unspeakable gift" has already been given to us all so that we may have a good night, resting confidentially in the knowledge that if we give our lives to Jesus this Christmas, He will receive us and give us the gift of eternal life.
Think about the feeling you had as a child waking up on Christmas morning to finally possess that gift that you really wanted and then mutiply that feeling by 100%.
