Surviving The Storm

Now that "Irene" has passed we can look back and not only assess the physical damage, but also admire and recognize the hand of God.  As many of you know, "Irene"  was  originally predicted to be a CAT -3  Hurricane, however, by the time it reached the shores of Hampton Roads, it was only a CAT-1.  I want you to know  that man had nothing to do with taking the sting out- of -the  storm, because man cannot and does not control the winds and the waves.  Only God controls these things and my bible uses Jesus as the proof text to this fact.  In Matthew 8:23-27, Jesus is asleep while sailing in a boat when he is awaken by his frantic and anxious disciples because a furious storm was developing.
Jesus rebuked both the winds and the waves and calm was restored, and Jesus did not require the assistance of Norfolk Fire- Rescue like the two people in the sailboat that foundered in the Chesapeake Bay near Ocean View.  In awe,  Jesus's  disciples were speechless momentarily and the only thing they could say was "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him"
I don't know about you , but for me and my house, we gladly choose to serve the one who can command the sea and winds and keep us in perfect peace through the storm. That one is named Jesus and I encourage you to get to know him and choose to make him your Personal Christ and Head of Your Life TODAY !  Don't wait until the next storm because then it may be too late.
